Benjamin Scott Young

Young is a philosopher who studies discernment, practical wisdom and human flourishing. His research connects honors education and the medical humanities with phenomenology, philosophy of mind and cognitive science — especially predictive processing and active inference — to examine how people learn to perceive, interpret and improvise wise action in complex, dynamic environments. He also leads immersive study abroad programs in the United Kingdom.
