TAMPA, Fla. (Oct. 17, 2013) – The University of South Florida campus will be filled with even more green and gold than normal as students, faculty, staff, and alumni celebrate Homecoming Week, Oct. 21-26.

This year’s Running of the Bulls parade is expected to feature more than 50 floats, nearly twice as many as last year, as well as about a dozen watch parties and food trucks along the parade route. The parade begins at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 25 near the Marshall Student Center before ending at Fowler Fields. The Grand Marshal is Vincent Jackson of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.Among the week’s other scheduled events:
-Tuesday, Oct. 22: Stampede Comedy Show, featuring comedian DeRay Davis. 7:00 p.m., USF Sun Dome
-Wednesday, Oct. 23: Homecoming Ball (The Green Gala). 8:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m., Marshall Student Center Ballroom
-Thursday, Oct. 24: Carnival begins. 4:00 p.m. – midnight, Fowler Fields, located south of the USF Sun Dome
-Friday, Oct. 25: Parade, concert featuring Wiz Khalifa and DJ Enferno
-Saturday, Oct. 26: USF Bulls football game vs. Louisville, noon, Raymond James Stadium

The week also includes numerous philanthropic activities, including a blood drive, canned food drive benefiting Metropolitan Ministries, as well as a soda can tab drive, benefiting the Shriners Hospital for Children, located on the USF campus.
Coordinated by USF’s student-run Campus Traditions Board, the theme for this year’s Homecoming Superbull XVII is “There’s No Place like Homecoming.”
