WOW 2014 Celebration
Week of Welcome 2014 is now a week of memories, take a look back at this year's events.

TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 21, 2014) - The Week of Welcome at University of South Florida is underway – starting with incoming freshmen arriving on campus and moving into their residence halls. More than 700 volunteers joined the Bull Haul to assist many of the 5,500 students that live on campus in the USF residence halls.

The USF Football team stepped up and did the heavy lifting for students moving into the Argos Residence complex - view a video from USF Athletics with the players lending a helping hand and welcoming the new Bulls to campus by making their transition a little easier.

The Bull Haul had a record number of volunteers this year, including the football team, and the efforts to assist their fellow Bulls was widely appreciated by both students and their parents. The Bull Haul program also provides an opportunity for incoming freshman to connect with new friends and feel the spirit of Bull pride.

Capture – the class photo tradition that is now in it’s third year – brought the class of 2018 out to Corbett Soccer Stadium to stand together and spell out the iconic U-S-F on the soccer field. New Student Connections, USF Athletics, Herd of Thunder Marching Band, the Alumni Association, Housing and Residential Education, Wellness USF, and Student Government organized the annual tradition. On Saturday, August 23, new Bulls gathered together to “Charge” and participate in community service around Tampa Bay. The event is similar to the Stampede of Service, which is held in the Spring, and gives students the opportunity to take part in cleaning up, planting and making their community a better place. This is the first time the "Charge" event has been held and it was an overwhelming success. The Center for Civic Leadership and Engagement organized the event.
