TAMPA, Fla. (April 13, 2015) – Established in 2010, when former Tampa Mayor Pam Iorio declared April 9th to be USF Day, the one-day celebration has evolved into a weeklong celebration known as USF Week. USF Week included a number of events celebrating USF bull pride such as the Ultimate Bull Talent Show, Rocky’s Birthday Bash, the University Lecture Series with Speaker Bill Nye, Bullstock and many more. USF Week is an annual celebration of the university's rich history and its place within the Tampa Bay community.

The Center for Student Involvement (CSI), along with many campus partners, hosted the third annual USF Week Celebration. This year they brought the slogan “Today, Tomorrow, Forever BULLS!” to life. By embracing USF's history, celebrating accomplishments, and working toward the future, this tradition brings USF and the community together to make USF unstoppable for years to come. Relive the unforgettable journey of USF Week 2015 as we celebrate the milestones at USF!

The most popular University Lecture Series event of the semester took place on Tuesday night, probably because it featured the man who has been in almost every science classroom across the country. Bill Nye, known by many as “The Science Guy” from his hit TV show in the ‘90s, spoke about how space exploration, knowledge about evolution and young minds are necessary to halt the Earth’s warming climate.

The Ultimate Bull Talent Show was a hit with students! Held in the Oval Theater, it was an opportunity for talented Bulls to showcase their skills. Check out a slideshow of some of the participants:

Rocky's Birthday Bash was a night filled with music, dancing, food, cake and of course, a special appearance from Rocky himself! The guest of honor was dancing the night away celebrating his special birthday party.
