USF WOW 2016
TAMPA, Fla. (Aug. 30, 2016) - The Week of Welcome at University of South Florida began with incoming freshmen arriving on campus and moving into their residence halls on August 18th. Week of Welcome (WOW) is a campus-wide celebration that takes place each fall and spring semester and is the perfect time for students to experience some of the traditions and organizations that USF has to offer.

Incoming freshmen arrived on campus and moved into their residence halls on August 18th.

The festivities on the first day included the celebratory balloon drop in the Marshall Student Center to kick off the new school year.

Due to rainy weather the annual Class Capture photo was moved indoors to the USF Sun Dome. Freshmen students still came out in full force to participate in our yearly tradition. Welcome class of 2020!

The Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement together with student volunteers participated in the CHARGE event where students were encouraged to "grab service by the horns" to better the Tampa Bay community. It was a day to make friends, make memories and to make a difference.

Greeted with smiles and wide eyes of surprise, Genshaft made her way around parts of campus as part of her annual walk when fall classes begin. She has done this every year since arriving at USF 16 years ago. “We pride ourselves with being a welcoming campus and I want everyone to know they are welcome,” she said between handshakes.
