Pieretti is an expert in occupational safety and health who can discuss industrial hygiene, exposure assessment and control, occupational injury prevention and management, workers' compensation data analysis and worker health topics. He is the director of the NIOSH-funded Sunshine Education and Research Center for occupational safety, health and well-being (Sunshine ERC) and USF OSHA Training Institute Education Center.

Marie Bourgeois
Associate professor of global, environmental and genomic health sciences
Public Health
Bourgeois conducts primary toxicology research and human health, environmental and occupational exposure and risk assessments and analyses. She designs studies evaluating the adverse effects of industrial chemicals, environmental chemicals and licit/illicit drugs using in silico, in vivo and in vitro models.

Bernard's research focus includes industrial hygiene, occupational safety and health, evaluation and control of heat stress and strain ergonomics. He studies the effects of protective clothing on the level of heat stress and on the benefits of personal cooling systems, and the evolution of a framework for analyzing short-cycle manufacturing jobs that systematically examines biomechanics, muscle fatigue and cumulative trauma.
