Cassill researches animal behaviors, including the “triggers” of behavior including survival by foraging, cooperation, sharing, altruism, competition, stealing, murder, and predation. Other key focus areas include reproductive behaviors, maternal investment strategies, ecology and evolution, conservation biology and lifetime replacement fitness. Cassill can also discuss animal behavior before, during and after hurricanes and other extreme weather events, including which animals are at greatest risk of injury.
