Tabatabaei's research focuses on tailored rehabilitation strategies to reduce pain and optimize functional performance in clinical populations. He is leading a study exploring the effectiveness of dry needling to ease the muscle tightness and lower extremity pain often caused by multiple sclerosis.

Roberts' research interests are in multiple sclerosis -- in particular, clinical trials assessing novel treatments for both relapsing-remitting and secondary-progressive multiple sclerosis. He can also discuss general neurology and neuroimmunology.
