He also studies technology in the workplace with a focus on the negative effects of technology such as cybersecurity and email incivility on organizations and worker wellbeing.

Clayton teaches and studies managerial communication, organizational behavior and emotional intelligence. Mistry is an assistant professor at the School of Hospitality and Sport Management, teaching courses that focus on hospitality human resources management, strategic management, and organizational effectiveness. Mistry's research interests are centered around human resources management, organizational behavior, employee well-being, and the impact of leadership styles within the hospitality industry.
