Smersh is director of the advisory board for the Real Estate Society at USF and teaches finance and real estate in the Kate Tiedemann School of Business and Finance. He studies the variation in housing price appreciation due to risk factors such as hurricanes and sinkholes. Myers teaches graduate classes on forensic accounting encompassing white-collar crime, fraud, money laundering and financial investigation. He is part of the Florida Center for Cybersecurity. Prior to USF, Myers worked for 25 years as both an attorney and an accountant with the FBI. He was an original member of the Tampa Bay Bank Fraud Task Force and served on the Tampa Joint Terrorism Task Force. He was a certified bomb technician with the FBI and worked on cases including the Oklahoma City bombing, the Centennial Park bombing in Atlanta and the TWA Flight 800 crash off of Long Island Sound. He testified against Timothy McVeigh and Terry Nichols during their respective trials and his FBI terrorism financing and bombing investigations have taken him to Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Qatar, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Thailand and Greece. Myers received the Federal Law Enforcement Officers' Association Annual Award for Bravery in 2008 for his work in Afghanistan with improvised explosive devices and a Director's Award from then-FBI Director Louis Freeh for leading a national terrorism undercover operation.

Jarrett is an instructor in the School of Marketing and Innovation, joining the faculty in August 2019. She previously served as vice president of marketing strategy and public relations at Synapse, overseeing marketing and public relations for the 2019 Synapse Summit, which was attended by more than 5,000 people and featured 80 breakout sessions, 320 speakers and 300 exhibitors. Richardson, a licensed CPA and lawyer in Florida, worked with Deloitte prior to taking his position at the university. He serves as an editor and author on Pearson’s Federal Taxation textbook and has published articles in practitioner journals such as Tax Notes, The Tax Adviser, and the Journal of Accountancy. He also continues in his professional practice and has been featured as a tax expert in many print and television news media outlets.
Richardson completed a juris doctorate at the Stetson University College of Law and bachelor’s and graduate degrees in accountancy at the University of South Florida.

Karlins is a professor in the School of Management who teaches required courses in the principles of management. He also teaches behavior-oriented courses organizaational behavior. Twice named Outstanding Teacher of the Year for the Muma College of Business, Karlins has also received USF's President's Award for Outstanding Achievement.
His varied research interests include stress and time management, leadership, motivation, aviation crew resource management, interpersonal effectiveness, aging and the psychology of gambling. The author of 30 books, he has had more than 150 articles published in a wide spectrum of professional, academic and popular journals. He was an instructor at Princeton University and taught at the University of Pittsburgh, City College of CUNY and Southern Illinois University. He has served as a special consultant for Singapore Airlines for 20 years, training employees at all levels in operations, customer service, teamwork, communication and interpersonal effectiveness.
