Tanasi is Director of the Institute for Digital Exploration at USF. His research focuses is on classical archaeology with a focus on ceramic studies in the central Mediterranean from prehistory to the end of the Roman empire. He applies 3D Digital Imaging techniques for the documentation, interpretation and global dissemination of endangered, inaccessible or neglected archaeological heritage with projects in Sicily and Florida.

Harrison carries out collaborative digital science and digital humanities research -- using digital modeling, geomatics and spatial analysis, visualization and applied technology for urban planning, infrastructure management and data-driven decision-making. She is an expert in 3D printing, laser scanning, Geographic Information System (GIS), GPS, visualization techniques and smart cities.
