Stevens' research is focused on mass spectrometry-based proteomics (the study of sets of proteins) to understand the complex molecular mechanisms underlying fundamental biological processes and mechanisms associated with the development and progression of human disease. Specific areas of interest include neuroimmune response to alcohol, alcohol and epigenetics, proteomics and systems biology.
