Hendricks has developed recommendations for a regional Transportation Options Program plan for the Tampa Bay area, under sponsorship from the Florida Department of Transportation. Her research focuses on transportation demand management, trip reduction ordinances, growth management and bicycle and pedestrian transportation.

Boyd's research focuses on multimodal transportation planning

and land use planning and development. She also serves in supporting roles for several projects focused on statewide and metropolitan policy, planning and programming, and strategic and organizational management.
