He also studies irradiated materials properties and X-Ray diffraction -- how radiation changes a material’s structure and properties and the use of X-rays to analyze the internal arrangement of its atoms.

Yalcin researches health and engineering systems modeling and healthcare analytics and is co-founder of the Collaborative for Research & Education in Aging and Technology. His expertise includes data analytics, ambient intelligence, the Internet of Things and time-series data mining and analytics applications in healthcare.

Pyayt's research lab designs, develops and evaluates novel systems for biological and biomolecular sensing, manipulation and assembly. These have applications to COVID-19 immunity monitoring, sepsis diagnosis and detection of pregnancy complications. Specific research areas include sensors, nanoscale endoscopy, optofluidics and point-of-care testing.

Godfrey is a senior research associate at the Center for Urban Transportation Research at USF. Reed's research focuses on rehabilitation and haptics (the sense of touch). His rehabilitation interests include restoring abilities in individuals with asymmetric impairments, such as from stroke or unilateral amputations. His haptics work focuses on thermal responses of the skin, coordinated motions and human-robot interaction.

Dunleavy's research focuses on CAD modeling of microwave and millimeter- devices; development of new microwave/millimeter-wave experimental techniques for evaluation, modeling and design verification of devices, circuits and wireless sub-systems; design and evaluation of novel monolithic microwave/millimeter-wave integrated circuits (MMICs); and MMIC based sub-systems. This research led to the spinout company -- Modelithics, Inc. -- focused on commercial development and distribution of microwave and millimiter-wave device models.

Concas is a senior economist with extensive experience in urban and regional economic impact analysis and transportation policy analysis. His research work focuses on the study of the linkages between transportation infrastructure investment, economic development and residential location patterns.
