Yeh is an expert in water purification, wastewater resource recovery and life support in challenging, off-grid and remote environments. His research focuses on innovations at the water-energy-food nexus and includes developing autonomous, self-powered water machines, anaerobic and phototrophic membrane bioreactors and food-to-food biorecycling. he serves as principal investigator of the Membrane Biotechnology Lab.

Mihelcic's research focuses on sustainability, the impact of anthropogenic stressors on water resources, water supply, water reuse, nutrient management and water, sanitation and hygiene in the developing world.

Ivey studies red tide, harmful algal blooms, water quality and microplastics and the use of a model to estimate the underwater light field through remote sensing of ocean color.

Alfredo's research interests include understanding the relationship between actual and perceived drinking water risk on a household's water source and home water treatment technology decisions. Prior to joining the faculty at USF, Alfredo was research program manager at DC Water focused on the difficulties large, urban utilities face in ensuring a constant supply of high quality, potable water.

Ghebremichael has worked on a number of national and international projects as a PI and Co-PI, including International Research Experience for Students projects on water sanitation and hygiene in Ghana, water quality implications of onsite sanitation and sea level rise in coastal communities, life cycle assessment of shopping bags and greenhouse gas inventory and projection for the State of Florida.

Frazer is a Professor and Dean of the College of Marine Science at the University of South Florida. Prior to his arrival at USF, Dr. Frazer was Director of the School of Natural Resources and Environment at the University of Florida and served also as Chief Science Officer for the State of Florida. Dr. Frazer holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Biology from Humboldt State University and a Master’s Degree in Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences from the University of Florida. He earned his Ph.D. in Biological Sciences from the University of California, Santa Barbara. His research addresses contemporary and emerging environmental issues, and is, by nature, interdisciplinary.
