McCracken's research focuses on how power, language, gender and sexuality are intertwined. She completed a Fulbright Specialist Project in collaboration with the New Zealand Prostitutes' Collective to investigate the presence of violence and trafficking in the sex industry in a country where prostitution is decriminalized. She has conducted trainings for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration-supported organizations, public defenders, human trafficking coalitions and non-profit organizations.

Golombisky's research focuses on topics ranging from communicating visually through graphic, web and multimedia design to feminist perspectives on advertising. She has served as visiting faculty on diversity at The Poynter Institute for Media Studies, and her consulting clients have included Walt Disney World Resorts, Progressive Insurance and Publix Super Markets.
