Mullarkey is a professor of instruction in the School of Information Systems at the Muma College of Business at the University of South Florida. Mullarkey is a Fulbright core research scholar, an extraordinary associate professor in the Centre for Applied Research in Management at the North West University (South Africa), an IIIS interdisciplinary Fellow, a member of the advisory board for the Innovation Value Institute at the National University of Ireland Maynooth, a member of the governance committee for the USF Institute of Applied Engineering, and a Fellow at Tampa General Hospital Research (the academic medicine partner for USF).

Das' current research is focused on design and policy issues for smart electricity grids supporting green generation, electric vehicles and smart consumers in smart and connected communities; and developing strategies for impact mitigation of large-scale influenza pandemic outbreaks. He can discuss system performance optimization, carbon emissions control for electronic power networks, smart grid and microgrid modeling and design, influenza pandemic outbreak mitigation; and breast cancer survivor detection and intervention strategies.
